Welcome to your new role, Sushanta!
We are delighted to confirm that Dr. Sushanta Kumar Saha, who has been working for the past 13 years at CABR as the Seniormost Microalgal Biotechnologist, is starting a new role at CABR as a Senior Business Development Scientist.
Dr. Sushanta Saha has twenty-five years of research experience in cyanobacteria and microalgal biotechnology. He has been working on several industrially relevant projects, including microalgal biotechnology projects at the Centre for Applied Bioscience Research.
Dr. Saha has held a range of postdoctoral research positions at the National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria, India; the Department of Biology, Texas A&M University; and the Division of Biological Sciences, University of California, San Diego, USA. He holds a PhD in Microbiology from Bharathidasan University, as well as a BSc in Botany (Hons) and an MSc in Botany from Gauhati University, India.
Dr. Saha’s research interests and experience align with UN SDGs 2, 3, and 13 (Zero Hunger; Good Health and Well-Being; and Climate Action).
